August 2022 | At The Table

diversityindata·January 20, 2025

Description

For the month of August 2022 we're focusing on the intersection of diversity and food

Summary

Having a seat “at the table” is often a phrase used when talking about representation. But tables (while also being really relevant to data) are where people come together and celebrate their culture. From world renowned restaurants to your own home, this month we’re visualizing the intersection of diversity and food.

The first data set (50 Best Restaurants) looks at a list of the top restaurants in the world and where they're located while the second set allows us to explore historical information about food insecurity across different countries globally.
